About Band
Founded in Alexandria, Virginia in April of 2007 by Dylan Slattery, the then no-name band was joined by Ian Anderson on drums and then Aiden Vandit on Vocals, minus a Bassist mind you. Within the first month, "No-Name" was practicing for a Nirvana's: Smells Like Teen Spirit. Gaining the help of Mr. Butterfield, a history teacher at Mount Vernon High School, that could play any instrument that came to hand with ease on bass, the "No-Name" played their first show a month after formation. It all went well minus one factor: Dylan didn't show. Due to prior occurrences, Dylan Slattery, the founder and so-call leader of this band, did not show up for his own bands first show. But with the help of another teacher from Mount Vernon, Mr. K, the band finished their show.
After a serious deliberation and discussion about the future of the band, the two remaining members, Ian and Aiden, made a crucial decision. Dylan had to go. Together they exited Dylan out of the band over creative differences.
While performing at their first show with the helping teachers, Aiden and Ian picked up the final members of what was no longer the "No-Name" band. Recruiting Ian's friend Justin Bush on Bass and a former member of the "No-Name" band that was kicked out because Dylan didn't "like" her despite her skill, Jasmine White, on Lead Guitar. Shortly following, in mid-June, the band acquired Cameron Machann on Guitar, which rounded out the band's sound. Making another change, Aiden and Ian outed Jasmine White, making Cameron the Lead Guitar. Now without lags in the bands progressiveness, Aiden has stepped up as the new Leader and Founder of the new and improved band that Ian and himself has christened "And They Call This Tragedy...". The Post-Hardcore Emo Punk Quartet are ready to make their mark on the world as Virginia's most well-known band.
