About Band

Andy: I started playing with my two older brothers Tim and Paul in 1960-something! I was 10 when my parents gave in and bought me a drum kit for £10! A little red 'Ajax' kit. probably worth a fortune now.  I owe a lot to my Family for my start in music. I joined local heavy rock heroes 'GBH' in 1978. With Geoff Smith and Malcom Hynam, co-wrote our set. No covers for 'GBH'! A good live band with a strong following in South Wales.
The Nineties saw me in a trio playing Anglo-Welsh Acoustic Folk! (I don't know how else to describe it!) Songs by Kansas, Neil Young, Heart and John Martyn  were featured with traditional Welsh ballads.
2006 saw a new lease of life with 'Tres Hombres' (www.myspace.com/welshtreshombres).The name should give a hint.  'Blues Central' which had some old compadres from the 60's asked me to help out in the Summer of 2006, and I've been with them until Christmas 2009 (look at www.unsigned.com/bluescentral) I met Mike when he recorded the ‘Hombres’, and, as we both had songs we wanted to record, formed a partnership. ‘Past, Present and Future’ is the resulting CD. Long may it continue!
Mike: I started playing with my mates in school when I was about 14. The Beatles were a major influence. later I joined 'Esgelda' a Folk-Rock band, doing Lindisfarne and Crosby, Stills and Nash covers, amongst others.  We played the Dundalk Festival in 1975, joining the Chieftains onstage at the end of the gig! From the 1980's, I have concentrated on building my own studio - www.towpathstudio.co.uk - and record Bands and Musicians from all quarters and genres. I am currently writing and recording with Andy and have recently joined 'John Airdrie and The Shelleys' . Looking forward to going out live.
