Born In 89' Apollo One is based in Southern California and has been writing poetry and making his own version of hip-hop for over five years. He has performed in Pomona, West Covina, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Chino California. Apollo One has a show (performance) almost every week at various open mic poetry spots including Lion Like Mindstate, A Mic and Dim Lights, and Urbane Culture. He has plans for the rest of 2009 to book more shows and also hopefully get booked for bigger venues. As for 2010 only time will tell. Apollo One is what you get after over a decade of listening to hip hop of the 90s era being played on the radio or on tv. What does Apollo One mean? Where does the name come from? why did he choose that name? Well it started around 2005 when Apollo One started writing poetry. He knew he wanted a name that described what he was at heart, a poet an artist and much more. After releasing his first Album "leaving a trail of memories", he is very excited to see what the future holds. When asked what does he like about being on stage and performing apollo one answered," I love the reaction people have to my music, If I could inspire someone to do something and carry it in a positive way I feel I have done a good job".
