But it was not until 2008 when the duo, separately known as Mike V and Shizzy Mac formed officially. The Aviatorz have been through many ups and downs on the road to success in the music industry. The path to the industry seems to be getting harder every day, but Mike V and Shizzy Mac are determined to plow their own path into the music business by crossing and mixing all genres to create their own sound. The two are aware of the hard work and time it takes to land a record deal in the industry today and have been putting in more than overtime when it comes to their craft. The Aviatorz’ work has not gone unnoticed, combined the two artists have five albums recorded, various DVD appearances, shows and a plethora of guest appearances on local Philadelphia mixed tapes. Also, their song writing ability is as good as their rapping, covering almost every topic there is to speak on. The Aviatorz signed a recording contract with an up-and-coming independent Entertainment Company, ( Get Tough Entertainment ) ;working with veteran Terry Price-Grant and Carvin & Ivan of ( Karma Productions ). Their first album titled “The Maturation” was recorded at Get Tough Entertainment Studio, mixed at “The Studio” in Philadelphia and mastered by Sterling Sound Studios in New York City. As a common practice, the artist are proactive not reactive and their common words are ”YOU ONLY GO AS FAR AS YOU TAKE YOURSELF”. Known for their charismatic personalities and swagger, those characteristics always tend to be embedded in the music they record. With their minds and hearts set on their goals they are hopeful to continue to be recognized for their trendsetting music.
