Started rapping the same day I saw the "I Ain't Mad Atcha video premier. I was a multi-talented musician then and rap seemed too effortless to deal with. Not enough Soul for me. That instrumental and how Pac laid it down brought my mom's and eyes to tears, thinking and reflecting on Tupac's Murder and just the realness of his imagery.
I don't write or sound like Pac, my influences pretty much are east Coast and East Coast Southern Rappers like, JayZ's (Rocfella) Dame Dash Music Group (Beanie), Jadakiss, SwizzBeat's Cassidy, Eve DMX, Outkast and the Boy TI and Trick Daddy to name a few. On the melodic music side I vibe with Mario, Sammy, Lloyd, NEYO!, and Chris Brown. The industry is packed with names and mega-hits so I'll leave the name calling right there.
My persona is Business Man. Im on my way to follow in the new traditional of hip hop moguling. I have great ideas, been practicing honing my skills and with the right dough and product placement who knows. BLACKMONEY all the way right?
Last but not least, I am not the average hiphop head, I rarely buy CDs but I do listen to radio and internet jones alot. I've only been motivated to buy 7 CDs in my lifetime [two decades]. All I consider classics you'll have to wait for the interview to get all that. Also, I am a family man. Married young had my kids young and plan to beshowin my younggens you can do good things in music, with wealth and fam too. In essence HIPHOP is not dead, the movement is in the wilderness. gradually and surely we coming out of the darker times, hince Common #1 on bill boards 2007.
I wear many hats because my town size never gave those kinds of opportunities to sit around someone who knows. even now with the internet and sites like Loud.com and myspace.com more business from smaller villes and avenues are opening up everyday right?
I am an entertainer, but I'm truthful in mostly everything I do. I keep it 100% for my son and daughters watching. Aight. PEACE.
