Arosdeth

About Artist

If you asked Shawn Pavlas, the one man band of Arosdeth what kind of music he plays, you would probably get a nervous mumbling reply as he lists off a dozen or so different styles that influence his songwriting. And its no surprise either. Arosdeth strives for originality, while serving up a good amount of acoustic pop-saturated music. "I don't want to be confined to any genre," Shawn muses. "Anyone that has heard at least a few of my songs will have to admit that my style is all over the spectrum, and yet the easiest place for me to fit in is the whole 'inde/acoustic/funk' slot." But don't let that give you any preconceived notions about what Arosdeth sounds like. Shawn also brings in elements from techno, hardcore, latin, oldies, metal, and even classical music, making it hard for anyone to confine or define the little acoustic phenomenon that is Arosdeth.

"I'm not just about the music either," Shawn states clearly. "I'm about the passion. I'm about seeking to find real purpose, real meaning, and real hope. I feel that the human soul is a terribly neglected entity in the life of everyone alive today. And I want us to wake up!!! I want to encourage people to embrace passion. To open their hearts to letting their emotions out." And its not just lyrically that Shawn expresses his own passion. With vocals that have been compared countless times to bands like Queen or My Chemical Romance, he paints color into the black and white canvas of song lyricism with intense zeal and urgency.

The Music Of Arosdeth is based off of Shawn's epic novel series entitled "Draeston" and is taken from the character in the story who is known as "the warrior". Each album is based off of each book in the story, the two being released simultaneously. At least that's the plan for Arosdeth! Having just recently released the first novel and the album "Legends Of Mansion De Soul: The Acoustic Rock Opera", get ready for a musical experience that will be like none other, with plenty of mystery, misery, passion, wonder, and plain old acoustic rock/funk!
