Let’s start off agreeing by saying Bassix is defiantly different then what you would expect… but then again, what did you expect? It has been a fight from the start being pressured out in the world prematurely. Just being a few years old and having a bathtub full of ice for his bed no thanks to Scarlet Fever. To the immediate rush to the hospital when he was about 7 to have his tonsils removed so he could once again be able to swallow. (“If you are wondering how my living conditions were at that time just think of the bottom. If you guessed a trailer park, you’re right.”) Soon developing in an apartment on Clearwater Road in Ft. Wayne Indiana, as a kid, Bassix was in to everything adding to the chaos that his two other brothers created for his mother. Dad wasn’t around to much. Not that his the “typical” beat dad, “We would talk and I would see him any chance we got.”

I’ll fast forward a couple chapters of his life simple by saying he moved. (And moved)…. (And moved again)…etc. “Being the “newbie” has its ups and downs. Different locations have different standards… of what’s cool, who’s cool, and where to go and where not too. As for me, I wasn’t really focused on all that. I kept to myself and my attention on the people. I have seen and met some of the cleanest, dirtiest, nicest, meanest, whitest, and darkest, mixed with the most real, fakest, upfront, behind the back, loyal and most trustworthy hot ugly people. And it’s a damn shame… All they want is their fix. Whatever it is that tickles their fancy is what all these people are after. Which is cool and why they hell not, (its …*). The problem is everybody has their damn personality traits mixed up with everyone else’s and therefore as a result some don’t fit the script and most don’t get want they want.”

Let’s continue agreeing just for the sake of Bassix not ranting again, that Bassix has done nothing but succeed through life. From being a student at 7 different schools by graduating high school and almost two years in as a music major in college. He has shown that through hard work and determination anything is possible. Bassix’ music and producing skills have done wonders not only making him better all around but also by lending a hand to others less fortunate that share the same fix. Bassix is real. Bassix is good nature. Bassix is extraordinary… “B” is original.
