Since the mid 1995, Jimmy has lived a quiet life here in Jacksonville, performing for the occasional benefit or charity.  After going through his collection of original material a few years ago, he realized that he still had something to say.  The Big Bad Wolf was born in 2007 out of the desire to capture a simpler time in Rock-N-Roll and to bring Jimmy’s writing talents back out into the public light.  According to Pitman “Our music captures the simplicity of the music from the 50’s and 60’s”, “The kind of tunes that make you tap your foot, dance and feel good”

From the 60’s through the mid 70s Jimmy appeared with musical groups on such TV shows as The Dick Cavett Show, Laugh-In, The Andy Williams Show and American Bandstand as well as appearing in 3 motion pictures.  He has released 7 record albums (3 gold), 11 singles and his work was featured in the first “Austin Powers” movie.  After his tenure with the Strawberry Alarm Clock, Pitman continued performing his bluesy guitar style as a headliner and guest artist with a variety of bands across the US though his main focus was producing, promoting and shepherding other groups through the maze of the music industry.  He never stopped writing songs, and has amassed an extensive library of original material.
